Experiential & Environmental Programs for Teachers

The Nature Place — designated by the National Park Service as a National Environmental Study Center — offers leadership training and development for the support staff, faculty and leadership of elementary, middle school or high schools, as well as environmental education programs for teachers. Through hands-on leadership training in the natural environment, teachers improve communication and collaboration skills. Or through environmental education, you will learn to engage and connect your students with nature and their communities, and empower them to change their lives for a happy and more sustainable future. You will leave equipped to green your classroom, your curriculum, your students’ learning, your school community, and your life’s work as a teacher. The Nature Place works with you and your school to design an effective, one-of-a-kind experiential learning program. We help you select and combine various experiential learning activities from our portfolio — such as orienteering programs, high ropes courses or rock climbing — or customize a single activity to meet your goals within the framework of your school’s vision and mission.
Our total
cost includes room, board and your program fee. Our training programs are
customized to your needs. Pricing depends on how many participants you
have, what we are providing, and on your budget, and our availability.
Program fees basically range from $100 - $300/participant for a full day,
depending on the above criteria. We are motivated to provide remarkable
experiences that make a difference for our clients.
