The Sportsplex houses our indoor swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, exercise and weight room and an indoor multi-use game court for basketball, volleyball or tennis. We also have outdoor tennis and volleyball courts, horseshoe pit, outdoor amphitheater with a fire pit for a sing-along or a casual meeting, and miles of marked hiking trails.

In addition to the incomparable opportunities for natural history exploration, with advanced notice, The Nature Place can provide a wide array of supplementary activities and entertainment that can enhance your visit. We can offer as much or as little support or instruction as you would like. Some of the possibilities are: the Interbarn, a unique nature interpretive center; the astronomy observatory, with one of Colorado’s largest telescopes; rock climbing; ropes challenge courses; canoeing; fishing; mountain biking; arts and crafts; a guided naturalist hike; horseback riding or river-rafting with a local outfitter.
