If the great outdoors calls you even in the dead of winter, think of The Nature Place. Yes, it is colder. But the air is crisper, the views clearer, and the animal tracks easier to see. And the blanket of snow on the ground transforms the woods. The best part though — according to hikers, skiers and snowshoers — is the blissful winter solitude. There are some 30 days out of the year when it’s snowing and cloudy down in the Front Range, and we are up above the clouds in the warm sunshine, enjoying lunch on the deck with a great view of Pikes Peak.

So, this year, consider a winter visit to The Nature Place. You’ll experience the same comfortable accommodations and great food around the fire in the lodge, plus an indoor gym, pool, sauna and Jacuzzi — all at discount pricing for groups of 15 or more. | Discounted Winter Rates are available December 1st through March 31st. You may want to bring your own winter gear: cross-country skis, snowshoes, or winter hiking boots. We keep our roads plowed immediately after a snowstorm, as does the county.
